Holiday Inn Express Hutchinson, an IHG Hotel

We stayed in a handicapped room, didn't need it, but that's what was open. The shower floor had a crack through middle and had been "fixed". It flooded the entire bathroom! The people above us we so loud, I mean so loud. You expect some noise and whatnot, but it was like they were playing football... Running and slamming.... We called the front desk, nothing changed. It was the WHOLE night! I mean, I get it... People will be people, but there are ways to get cooperation, there was little effort to get them quiet. I grew up in hutch and have tons of family and friends there still. We go visit often and will never stay here again.

I made reservations with them a week in advanced with my daughters birthday and the day of our suppose to be stay, luckily I had called to see if I could rent a room specifically for the cake and presents because plans for that had changed and she told me it would be 25 for an hour and I said okay I’ll go ahead and do that. She then pulled up my reservation and said well we don’t rent to people who have a drivers licensed issues here in Hutchinson Kansas. And I said alright then we will figure something else out for the cake and we will still stay so my girls can swim. And she said NO and was very hateful and said I can’t rent room to you at all. And I said not for a night? And she said no. I asked for her manager to call me and she told me “no he’s not going call you. You can’t rent a room.” And I said so your telling me that if someone has an emergency in their home they can’t rent a room if their ID says Hutchinson Kansas? And she said that is correct we would say absolutely not just like we are to you now. I asked again to talk to her manager and she said no. So I told her to cancel my stay and I’d be in touch with her manager. If the manager doesn’t see this and contact me before Monday I will be calling the corporate office. Her tone and behavior over the phone was non professional and unacceptable.
